Paddle for PanCAN 5k
A Kayak and Paddleboard race for Pancreatic Cancer
Why we paddle
In 2017, our beloved Aunt Sue was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She fought her battle bravely for an inspiring six months, demonstrating incredible strength and resilience. In response to her struggle, we made the heartfelt decision to help raise awareness and funds to combat Pancreatic Cancer.
The very first Paddle for PanCAN event was held virtually in 2020. Since then, we have had the privilege of meeting and listening to stories from survivors and dedicated loved ones. Hosting this race each year has truly opened our eyes to the significant impact that bringing awareness to this critical issue can have within our community.
In just five years, we have successfully raised $36,250 for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Looking ahead, we remain committed to organizing this event, with the hope of reaching even more individuals and continuing our efforts to support those impacted by this disease.
