Join us for the Paddle for PanCAN 5K! A kayak & paddleboard race that benefits the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and its research to fight pancreatic cancer.
PURPOSE
“Pancreatic cancer takes 90 percent of its victims within five years and kills more people than breast cancer in the United States. The disease is the third leading cause of cancer-related death, and it is projected to become the second around 2020. More than 57,600 Americans will be diagnosed with the disease this year. That’s more than 158 mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, colleagues, or friends who will hear the dreaded news every single day.”
ACTION
The 5K will take place on September 14, 2024 from 10am to 12pm (EDT).
The race will start at the Suck Creek Boat Launch (1907 Suck Creek Road, Chattanooga, TN 37401) and go upriver towards Williams Island. All you have to do to complete the 5K is register below, get in a kayak, paddleboard, tandem kayak, or Canoe, and paddle 3.1 miles with us!
Registration is $40 and will include a T-shirt that will be provided on the day of the race.

FUN
There will be an Adult Male, Adult Female,, and Tandem (2 person) kayak divisions. Each division winner (best time) will receive a prize. Additionally, there will be other great raffle prizes from local businesses that participants can be eligible for!
